Personal successes

January 25, 2019

In English this week we became reporters and considered the environmental problems caused by the fashion industry, and some possible solutions.  We filmed each other and started transcribing our ideas for a blog, which will hopefully be ready for you to read next week.

Our full week of learning has been punctuated by some enriching personal successes.  The quality of our ‘show and tell’ sessions is superb.  It is wonderful that so many of your children are preparing such rich and thoughtful presentations for their peers.  Thank you for supporting them with this.

We have also had sporting successes with our team at the multi-sports competition at Impington VC on Wednesday.  They represented the school brilliantly.

And we have had notable successes already at swimming lessons with some profound improvements through courage and endeavour.

Next Week:

We continue with multiplication and division, focusing on x1 and x0 aswell as a review of maths learning so far this year.

This free times tables app (discovered and recommended by Mr Rolls) is also a great way to continue your learning at home.

Monday:  New sewing challenge – socks still required for this project, please bring any you can.

Thursday:  Swimming, please remember kit

Friday: Bikeability for those children who signed up to the Level 1 training – please re-complete the consent form, as well as the bike checklist.

Please could we reiterate that items brought into school (toys/Pokemon cards etc.) remain the responsibility of your child.

Please could you support your child in completing the Reading Record with any reading that they do at home (school or home books).  Whilst we do not comment in the Record, it is useful for us to have an up to date overview of your child’s reading habits.
