Fives, Books, Stories, Books, Negative numbers, Books, Hockey, Books

March 8, 2019

A really booky week.  World Book Day yesterday was fantastic with children creating their own reading rivers, and continuing fantastical stories.  A highlight was the raffle ticket hunt, and the potential to find a winning ticket.  The book talk was great and I am sure the children have shared this inspiration and enthusiasm with you at home.

Sporting activity saw a our first Fives lesson and team representation at the Comberton hockey tournament, aswell as swimming progress.

In maths we got to grips with the negative number line.  Two further challenges attached for you:

Tug Harder and MysteryMatrix.

Next Week:

Please bring an old T-shirt to school practice your design.

Monday:  LAMDA

Wednesday:  pm Learning Conversations  (no Fives session)

Thursday:  Swimming

Friday:  Red Nose Day (and Family Yoga for those that have booked):  This will be  a non-uniform, red themed day. If children want to dress up in red they can bring in a GOLD (£1, £2) coin as a donation to the appeal.  Throughout the day the children will also take part in an assembly to learn more about Comic Relief and its mission to end child poverty.
