All things planetary.

November 30, 2018

We were delighted to welcome Ryan MacDonald into school this week.  He is a planetary expert currently studying for a PhD in Astronomy at the University of Cambridge.  His talk was engaging and informative, especially as he is part way through the selection process for the proposed Mars One mission.

If you would like to develop the children’s interest further:    Institute of Astronomy holds public open evenings (Wednesdays at 7.15pm). During open evenings, there are both talks on Astronomy and the chance to use their telescopes (if the sky is clear). More details are available here:

We also had a special science lesson that challenged us to find a way to ‘remix’ the colours of the rainbow to make white light.

We are rewriting stories of Rama and Sita and are publishing these next week in time to show you at Family Friday.
